The Finance Department provides essential support functions for the City Government in the collection of revenue from sources such as taxes, licenses, fees and permits in order to provide financial support to a wide range of essential City services that benefit all who live, work and visit Los Santos. The Department consists of three bureaus:

  • The Bureau of Licensing acts as an auxiliary bureau that lays emphasis on the organization of the City's permit and licensing system for a variety of activities such as the operation of a business. The Bureau's goal is to provide efficient, effective, and responsible regulations for the businesses in accordance with government policy.

  • The Bureau of Taxation carries the responsibility to implement the city's tax regulations through a variety of tax incentives, exemptions, and assistance programs. The Bureau strives for excellence in the transparency of our city's finances through the maintenance of financial publications.

  • The Bureau of City Contracts is responsible for overseeing all of the government contracts. In certain cases, the government decides to hire a third party for the performance of the aforementioned services. When the government decides to call upon the services of a business, it is required to follow the rules and regulations of public procurement. Any B2B or even B2C business can offer its services to the government, but a government contract can only be awarded through a meticulous process in which multiple companies compete for the same contract.
