Suicide Prevention/Awareness Day
Description of Event
The event consists of having key figures and public representatives of multiple governmental agencies as well as motivational speakers and psychologists present on the same table in what is set to be a philosophical, political and social debate to discuss matters pertinent to suicide. Civilians and media are also expected to be present and occasionally be allowed to participate with questions.
Goal: The goal of this event is to target a specific audience (people with suicidal thoughts) and help them realize that suicide is preventable and not inevitable. As well, civilians who attend the event are expected to acknowledge all the information and learn ways to identify and assist people who they suspect that might be subjected to experiences that may eventually lead to suicide.
