As the Deputy Director of Health and Human Services you supervise the Department of Health and Human Services as well as its sub-divisions. You are responsible for setting policy, planning, directing, standardizing, integrating and evaluating the delivery of all related health and social services across the City of Los Santos. You oversee categorical Division Heads (Outreach Managers, Social Administrators, public sector Healthcare Administrators) to ensure accountable, quality programs that are fiscally sound. In addition you ensure services are provided in a manner consistent with quality care and applicable laws, rules and regulations and coordinated across departments while guaranteeing consistency with procedures (e.g., administrative, fiscal, budget and human resources) within the department. Furthermore you are responsible for the alingment of all strategic plans, and that all plans reflect system coordination, integration, current laws, regulations and the changing needs of our communities.

INITIATIVE PLANNING
As the Deputy leader of the Department of Health and Human Services you review and establish policies as well as procedures for carrying out the department's goals and objectives, and initiate changes in methods and procedures to improve service delivery; recommend and implement policies and procedures. You are tasked with directing the development, preparation, and implementation of city-wide health and social programs in order to increase the quality of medical services and the quality of life for the citizens of Los Santos.
ADMINISTRATIVE LEADERSHIP
Oversee the Department of Health and Human Services and organize human services administrative and other functions as appropriate to maximize resources. Select, train, motivate and evaluate assigned personnel within the Department and provide or coordinate staff training. Work with your employees to correct deficiencies.

The Administration for Children and Families is responsible for programs that promote the economic and social well-being of families, children and other individuals. The programs aim to help families and individuals to become empowered and increase their own economic independence and productivity. Supportive programs that have a positive impact on the quality of life and the development of children; partnerships with individuals, front-line service providers; services planned, reformed, and integrated to improve needed access; and a strong commitment to working with people to address their needs, strengths, and abilities.

The Administration of Healthcare Research and Quality enhances and investigates the quality, appropriateness, and effectiveness of health care services and access to care by conducting and supporting research, demonstration projects, and evaluations; developing guidelines; and disseminating information on health care services and delivery systems. They issue and revoke licenses, and investigate complaints brought forward by the Los Santos citizens.

1. The applicant must have attained the age of twenty-one (21) years.
2. The applicant must have a legal address in the State of San Andreas.
3. The applicant may not have been convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor.


1. Your master's degree must include or be supplemented by any of the following fields: political sciences, social work, or communication. An equivalent level gained through work experience or other education may be considered, such as a doctorate in medicine (MD).
2. A valid San Andreas driver's license, or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when required to attend job-related functions.
3. At least six (6) years of job experience in Social Work, Outreach Management, General Care, Medical Professions or similar fields of work.
4. Minimum of three (3) years in a supervisory or executive leadership position.


1. A high level of literacy is required together with the ability to frame correspondence in a user-friendly but legally correct style and to prepare file notes for presentation to the administration.
2. Excellent organizational and time management skills together with the ability to prioritize and manage significant workload under pressure without direct supervision.
3. The ability to maintain a calm and professional approach when faced with very challenging and sometimes high profile clients is essential.
4. Demonstrated strength in leadership and social skills.
5. The applicant must deal with issues and solve problems, which will be possible through in-depth knowledge of procedures and relevant laws.
6. Strong social awareness of local scene as well as knowledge about the local communities in the districts of Los Santos is desired.

STEP I. JOB CANDIDACY — The first stage of the selection process consists of a formal notice of intent by the job candidate to compete for the position. Such notice of intent shall be in writing and submitted to the Director of Health and Human Services, Michelle Miller, along with a full resume, a cover letter, and any referrals that can be considered relevant to the selection process.

STEP III. JOB INTERVIEW — You will be invited to a formal interview with key officials of the administration. The interview will primarily focus on your previous job experience and knowledge. Before attending the interview, it is highly recommended to study the job vacancy thoroughly as it is considered to be a good preparation for the interview.

STEP IV. PRACTICAL ASSIGNMENT — After successfully advancing through the interview stage you shall be faced with a practical assignment in relation to the offered position. The assignment shall be aiming at your motivation and vision for shaping the position in the future as well as a written task.

STEP V. EXAMINATION —The recruitment process is concluded with one last interview conducted by two or more of the City's leadership. Its goal is to determine the candidate's soft skills, work attitude, and leadership qualities that he or she will demonstrate in the performance of their duties as a city official.
