The Youth Welfare Manager is responsible for managing and training Child Protective Service Agents and Interns. Working alongside the agents offering the youth care, they participate in and organize home visitations for youth undergoing adoption or foster care. Working closely with the Haven Homes Supervisor, they also ensure youth at Haven Homes have all necessities required to be healthy and comfortable. The YWM trains staff to spot and assist youth in need, and answer calls from LEO's and our hotline.
YOUTH GROUP HOUSE
The Youth Group House will supervise and support youth in a home-like setting. We aim to help children eventually become adopted or succeed in joining a foster care family. In the interim, we ensure the youth's needs are met, including but not limited to housing, food, activities, school monitoring, and health care. While this role may have long and sometimes unconventional hours, it can also be very gratifying.
The Department of Health & Welfare, under the Los Santos City Government, is the one responsible for promoting the social well-being of the members of our community, through the development of programs that focus on several core issues, such as healthcare, housing, employment and more.
Our programs focus on providing struggling individuals with support and guidance, with the objective of bringing back their lost independence, productivity and/or health, empowering them as human beings and citizens, helping them get their life back on track, overcoming the obstacles they may be facing and finally allowing them to pursue their life goals on their own.
The three branches of our Department are: Community Development, Healthcare Research & Quality and Children and Families. All of our programs fit under one of these three branches, although all of them work in close collaboration.
Our programs focus on providing struggling individuals with support and guidance, with the objective of bringing back their lost independence, productivity and/or health, empowering them as human beings and citizens, helping them get their life back on track, overcoming the obstacles they may be facing and finally allowing them to pursue their life goals on their own.

- Community Development: The Community Development branch focuses on the social and financial issues of individuals. Some programs that are developed under this branch include Affordable Housing, Employment Guidance or the Community Center Program.
- Healthcare Research & Quality: The Healthcare Research & Quality branch focuses on the Healthcare System and issues on the medical field our community may face. Some programs that are developed under this branch include the Rehabilitation Program for Substance Abusers or the Disabilities Support Program.
- Children and Families: The Children and Families branch focuses on the minors of our communities that struggle the most given their vulnerable situations. Some programs that are developed under this branch include the Child Protection Program or the Foster Care/Adoption Program.
1. The applicant must have attained the age of twenty-one (21) years.

1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited US college/university in Child Development, Criminology, Criminal Justice, Education, Healthcare, Home Economics, Guidance and Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field. At least One (1) year of experience providing social services to children and families. One (1) year of experience in a leadership, managerial, or supervisory capacity is preferred.
2. The applicant would know state and federal laws, regulations, the local court system and law enforcement agencies, guidelines, and standards affecting child protection services, foster care, family preservation, and adoption.
3. A valid San Andreas driver's license, or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when required to attend job-related functions..
1. A high level of literacy is required together with the ability to frame correspondence in a user-friendly but legally correct style and to prepare file notes for presentation to department leadership.
2. Excellent organizational and time management skills together with the ability to prioritize and manage significant workload under pressure without supervision.
3. The ability to maintain a calm and professional approach when faced with very challenging and sometimes high-profile clients is essential.
4. The applicant must deal with issues and solve problems, which will be possible through in-depth knowledge of procedures and relevant laws.
5, Strong social awareness of local issues as well as knowledge of the local communities in the districts of Los Santos is advantageous.
