PERMITS
The Los Santos City Government offers varying permits to ensure public safety and a smooth operation for any sort of event, activity, or film production. It is the applicant's responsibility to acquire the necessary permits at least two (2) weeks in advance of the event or production. Film Production Permit and Movie Weapon Permit requests are to be sent to [email protected]


  • Special Event Permits - Any sort of event being held in/on public properties require a Special Event Permit. This includes marathons, fairs, parties, and similar. (( These are fully managed through the Events Team Discord ))
  • Movie Weapons Permit - Any film production utilizing firearms, including prop firearms loaded with blank munitions, require a Movie Weapons Permit.

Failure to obtain permits within this timeframe may result in denial. Any changes to the event or production plans after permits are issued must be communicated to the department via e-mail. This includes scheduling, location, delays, or other significant details. Failure to do so may lead to revocation. Failure to attain permits may result in legal consequences, fines, and/or event or production closure.

Requirements
  • Applicants must attain a Film Production permit before start of production.
  • Applicants must communicate via e-mail any changes to the production plan.
  • Government Officials reserve the right to conduct inspections on film productions to ensure compliance with permit conditions.

Requirements
  • Applicants must attain a Film Production permit before start of production.
  • Only one MOVIE WEAPONS PERMIT REQUEST is required per production.
  • A certified firearm safety Prop Master must be present on set whenever firearms are being used.
  • A Basic First Aid license holder or licensed EMT must be present on set whenever firearms are being used.
  • Applicants must communicate via e-mail any changes to the production plan.
  • Government Officials reserve the right to conduct inspections on film productions to ensure compliance with permit conditions.
