((We’re excited to introduce a unique roleplaying opportunity for players roleplaying (M) characters. Our department acts as what would be Child Protective Services (CPS) OOCly and we aim to bring a different aspect of roleplay by focusing on the care and support of homeless and abandoned minors. This initiative will allow adult characters to engage with the faction by fostering and adopting children within the game.
This RP is open to both legal and illegal minor characters. Legal characters will get an official faction invite, whereas illegal characters will not. Any differences between the two programs are explained in the "SIGN UP HERE" form posted above. Legal characters are also welcome to RP with us, even if you do not want an official faction invite.
Important Reminder:
Please be aware of Rule 6 of our server rules:
"Characters must be at least 16 years old. The only exception to this rule is if you make a character with the intent on getting involved with a gang faction. This is to allow more realistic recruitment for gangs as they typically target teenagers for recruitment. These characters are allowed to be no younger than 12 years old."
This rule applies to all characters engaging in our RP as well.
We hope this new addition enriches your roleplaying experience by offering diverse and meaningful interactions. Whether you choose the legal or illegal path, we’re excited to see the unique stories and connections you create within our department.
If you have any questions or need further clarification, please join the LSGOV discord and ask away!))

Everyone has the right to health and social services. Having access to such empowers the most vulnerable and the entire community. Under the conditions and requirements set forth by law, the Department of Health and Welfare is responsible for carrying out these duties, by offering care and assistance to those in need.
The Department of Health and Welfare is tasked with providing our citizens with well-being assistance and social support via several programs. Veteran assistance, Employment offerings, The Haven Homes Project, Foster/Adoptive Care, Child Protective Services, and Affordable Housing Opportunities, and more, are at the heart of giving all citizens peace, stability, and a comfortable livelihood. The Department of Health and Welfare strives to offer social support by providing welfare programs and benefits to the general public.
The Department of Health and Welfare, is managed by the Department Director and the Department Deputy Director. The three branches of our Department are: Community Development, Medical Licensing, and Youth Welfare. - Community Development: The Community Development branch focuses on the social and financial issues of individuals. Programs developed under this branch include the Affordable Housing Program, the Employment Center, Haven Homes Management, Veterans Assistance, The Homeless Shelter, and our Community Center. The team also promotes and offers events that benefit the citizens of Los Santos.
- Youth Welfare: The Youth Welfare branch focuses on the minors of our communities that struggle the most given their vulnerable situations and for a number of reasons. Programs that are developed under this branch include the Child Protective Services, the Foster Care & Adoption Program, and Second Chance Youth Parole Program. This division also hosts activities which offer exciting and unique opportunities for the children and families of Los Santos.
- Medical Licensing: The Medical Licensing branch investigates unauthorized medical practices and practitioners and manages a database of officially approved medical practitioners and businesses in the State of San Andreas. Additionally, they approve or revoke medical business/practitioners licenses, manage handicap permits, work alongside the Public Health Regulatory Committee, and track the medical needs/appointments of minors in the Child Protective Services Program.
