ABOUT THE JOB POSITION

Psychiatrists employed by the Department of Health and Human Services serve as the main overseer of patients admitted to the Psych Department within Pillbox Hill Medical Center. They will work with Psychologists to develop and oversee treatment plants for the mental rehabilitation of patients, as well as perform various therapies, prescribe medication, and adjust the treatment plan as necessary. Psychiatrists will provide the highest quality of care under their scope of practice and maintain a superior level of professionalism while on and off duty.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

1. The applicant must have attained the age of twenty-six (26) years.

2. The applicant must have a legal address in the State of San Andreas.

3. The applicant may not have been convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor.

4. The applicant must have a High School Diploma/GED.

5. The applicant must have obtained a doctorate-level medical degree from an accredited institution in the United States, as well as have completed the required residency to become a Psychiatrist. A San Andreas State medical license which allows one to practice as a Psychiatric physician must also be obtained prior to applying.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

1. Applicants should have at least four (4) years of experience working in the mental health department of a hospital, or in another state-run facility specializing in mental health.

2. Experience in developing a treatment plan for patients, including but not limited to: prescribing medication and performing therapies.

3. A valid San Andreas driver's license, or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when required to attend job-related functions.

KEY SKILLS & ABILITIES

1. A high level of cirtical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with OR without supervision is required.

2. The ability to be able to work in a stressful environment and to take appropriate action is a must.

3. The applicant must be in a good physical and mental condition to be able to handle patients under all types of circumstances.

4. Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff is mandatory.

5. Must be knowledgeable about and abide by HIPAA laws and regulations, and maintain the utmost level of professionalism.

6. An excellent attention to detail with the ability to observe patients and maintain thorough patient records.
