WHAT IS A CULTURAL GRANT?

The Cultural Grant Program is a system in which financial sums are permitted to organizations, businesses, or individuals with intentions rooted in cultural action, performance art, literary art, or heritage-based programming to the residents of Los Santos. The purpose to which these commissions are granted is to enrich artistic vitality and cultural vibrancy, with the goal to play an active role in the development of Los Santos cultural initiatives. These franchises serve as one-time or recurring investments that carry no expectation of compensation.


APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS


1. The applicant must have attained the age of 18.
2. The applicant must have a legal address in the State of San Andreas.
3. The applicant may not have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor.

REQUEST EXPECTATIONS


1. Demonstrate an understanding of financial management when undertaking a project.
2. Comply with the process in which a full background check is required to look into your financial history.
3. Provide a detailed quote on expenses; how the money will be distributed and what will be acquired with the money.
4. Provide an update for the first month, recording the dispersing of City approved funds. Failure to comply with audits may result in forced repayment.
5. Applications with no cultural background, missing information, hold an aspect of danger to them, or are political in nature will NOT be considered.

METHOD OF APPROVAL

STEP I. PRELIMINARY GRANT APPLICATION ─ This is the first step in applying for a cultural grant. The primary objective of this application is to assess the applicant's motivation, purpose for the grant, and achievement goals.

STEP II. BACKGROUND CHECK ─ Upon submitting your application, cultural officials will verify whether the information contained within is truthful. By applying, you agree that your personal information which includes your full name, legal address, driving license, and criminal record will be subject to review by the City.

In order to ensure that the Cultural Grant Program supports individuals, organizations, and businesses that truly need financial assistance, careful consideration will be given to applicants who demonstrate a genuine need for said funding. The program is designed to empower individuals who may have limited access to resources and would greatly benefit from the financial support provided by the program.

Priority will be given to applicants whose projects align with the program's goals, and who demonstrate a clear plan for utilizing the grant effectively to enhance artistic vitality and cultural vibrancy within San Andreas.

STEP III. DIRECT INTERVIEW ─ Upon clearance of the background check, a meeting will be set up between the applicant and a Curator in the Department of Cultural Affairs. This interview shall take place on a face-to-face basis and will primarily focus on the intentions of the grant.

STEP IV. REVIEW PROCESS ─ The application will be forwarded to the Director of Cultural Affairs to approve the nature of the grant application. From there, the application will be forwarded to the Director of Finance, who will decide on the approval of funding amounts.

STEP V. GRANT APPROVAL ─ The grant will be processed and delivered to the applying party along with the desired funding amount. A detailed list of expectations will be provided along with the appropriate grant approval documentation.
