PROGRAM MANDATE
The Office of The Mayor has allocated $8,500,000 for the Biannual Tax Rebate Program in partnership with the San Andreas State Government, an initiative designed to boost the local economy and alleviate financial pressures for residents of Los Santos, who will be able to claim up to $10,000 twice a year. This program, occurring twice a year, provides direct rebates to eligible residents, ensuring they have additional disposable income to spend across various sectors, from retail and dining to healthcare, transportation and cost of living. By putting more money in the hands of residents, the program aims to drive consumer activity, foster economic growth, and support the diverse range of small businesses that form the backbone of our community's economy.
In addition to helping local businesses, this program also seeks to address the rising cost of living in Los Santos, enabling families to better manage their essential expenses. By stimulating spending and creating a ripple effect of economic benefits, the Biannual Tax Rebate Program reinforces the city’s commitment to sustaining a economically thriving community, where both businesses and families can prosper.
The Biannual Tax Rebate Program is funded through a combination of municipal revenue sources, including property taxes, municipal sales tax, parking fees, traffic and ordinance citations, and contributions from state income taxes offered by the State Government. These revenue streams ensure the program is sustainably financed while leveraging the city’s existing financial resources to benefit the residents and local economy of Los Santos.
This program is intended to run indefinitely and will be renewed in 2025.
